    Anyone making a move in or to New Jersey will find there are two kinds of moves. One is a well-organized, planned and mostly stress-free move. The other, is complete chaos.

    If you'd like to avoid the chaos that can result from New Jersey moving, there are things you can do. A little advanced planning and some work up front can really save on the headaches later.

    Getting started in making New Jersey moving a snap will require making some decisions. The top things to consider are: how you intend to make the move and when exactly you want to do it.

    If you plan on hiring a New Jersey moving company to do most of the work for you, you'll want to make arrangements as well in advance as possible. This means booking the movers, the date and deciding how much, or little, they'll have to do. The questions to ask include:

    ? How big of a truck will I need? This will be dictated by the number of furnished rooms that need to be moved. A good New Jersey moving company should be able to help here.

    ? Do I need them to do the packing for me?

    ? What date or timeframe do I need the move to be completed in?

    If you intend to do the hauling yourself, you'll still need to know how much truck space you'll require. The packing, however, will fall all on your shoulders. While this can save you some serious cash, it can be a big pain in the neck. It doesn't have to be, however.

    Whether moving to New Jersey or the moon, there are ways to make the packing and unpacking a little more tolerable. The key is to start early, be objective and stick with it.

    ? Pack up things you won't need between now and the move and clearly mark the boxes. The more you can get done well in advance, the easier the last few days leading up to the move will be.

    ? Rinse and repeat for each room in a home.
